A Watchman or A Fool?

The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - Ecclesiastes 10:12

Dedicated to those who devote their time to endless disputes and debates in Blogosphere; please make yourselves useful for God's glory.

A word of advice from Matthew Henry to the Fool:

"Fools talk a great deal to no purpose, and they show their folly as much by the multitude, impertinence, and mischievousness of their words, as by any thing; whereas the words of a wise man's mouth are gracious, are grace, manifest grace in his heart and minister grace to the hearers, are good, and such as become him, and do good to all about him, the lips of a fool not only expose him to reproach and make him ridiculous, but will swallow up himself and bring him to ruin, by provoking the government to take cognizance of his seditious talk and call him to an account for it. ...

A fool also is full of words, a passionate fool especially, that runs on endlessly and never knows when to leave off. He will have the last word, though it be but the same with that which was the first. What is wanting in the weight and strength of his words he endeavours in vain to make up in the number of them; and they must be repeated, because otherwise there is nothing in them to make them regarded. Note, Many who are empty of sense are full of words; and the least solid are the most noisy [in blogosphere]. ...

[A fool] is full of words, for if he do but speak the most trite and common thing, a man cannot tell what shall be, because he loves to hear himself talk [or blog/write], he will say it again, what shall be after him who can tell him?"

Check out Daniel's new post about his move into seminary studies.

There's nothing worth reading in this post ... he should at least state the name of the local church supporting him in his endeavors.

If any.

Internal call must be accompanied by an external call as observed by a local church, with a good track record of faithful service within that church as testified by souls touched by his love for fellow brethren.

If any.

The Reformed Church in general recognizes what is known as the "external call."

Here, a baptist pastor has written a simple yet accurate blog about this issue.

http://briancroft.wordpress.com/2010/05/20/why-is-involvement-in-the-local-church-essential-to-evalute-my-call-into-ministry/

Which local church in Singapore has given Chew the necessary external call to the ministry? Isn't Chew Reformed to start with? Shouldn't he have the external call to begin with?

I'm sure Chew is sent by Pastor Paul Goh of Covenant Evangelical Reformed Church to study in Westminster Ca. Perhaps Paul Goh has now broken away from the PRCA.

I'm sure Chew has at least preached in CERC, and has served his brethren faithfully as a member there, isn't that true, Pastor Paul Goh?

Or has Chew been doing otherwise?

We all know what Chew is ... in REAL life.

"There are different kinds of voices calling you to all different kinds of work, and the problem is to find out which is the voice of God rather than society, say, or the super-ego, or self-interest."

Aiyah, we all know that Daniel H. Chew is "reformed" ONLY when the said "reformed" beliefs benefit his super-ego. External call or no external call, his super-ego is the one and true God of his life.

Oh yeah, God also called me to study theology, and my life is likewise "given over to God" to do a MDiv, and then to bicker with those uneducated FOOLS who doesn't have the same qualifications as me. Praise God for my "greek" and my "hebrew"! For the "glory of God" I do this, so why do I need an external call from a local church?

In fact, the local churches in Singapore are so corrupted with false doctrines that those pastors should get an external call from ME to preach in Singapore!

As my life is "given over to God", puritan and reformed, just as Jeremiah and Isaiah - I am not recognized by the community of believers in Singapore. But again, which TRUE prophet was accepted in Israel? Israel killed their prophets just as local churches here rejected ME as their one and only true prophet. If only they had listened to me.

Praise God for my opportunity to study in Westminster Ca. I have the call within me, the subjective internal call. So who needs an external one from corrupted false pastors and teachers?

One only needs the cash from his daddy, and the phone call to the seminary!

Hi AT,

There's a new post by PP:

Well written, I say!

Although Daniel does not have a church to go to, he serves God with his heart and mind like true prophets within apostate Israel. Churches in Singapore are so degenerate that even pastors are not saved. I see Daniel tells the truth bravely, and churches need to listen to him. How can such pastors lord over Daniel by telling him when he is prepared to go to seminary?

Would be Pope said...

John,

You are joking right? Or sarcastic?

Daniel needs to test HIMSELF (confirming his 'internal' call) and also prove to his CHURCH (confirming his 'external' call), BEFORE he should even embark on seminary studies.

Writing blogs about the apostate so-and-so, drumming up support from his friends, going to other churches to rub shoulders with the renowed Reformed men DO NOT constitute a call to the ministry.

Aiyah, John is a well-known lackey of Daniel H. Chew. Just ignore what he says ... He is a worshiper of Chew as proven by his interactions with Chew in the Astronova blog.
